Shoicho walked down the narrow street with a slow, elongated stride which he was known for. He was in no hurry and had nowhere in particular to go. He had just felt like a walk.
He had been in the village a few weeks now, the hunt for the Akatsuki had being going slow, bad even. They had gotten a few leads but every one the Hokage had sent him to dig up had ended up being a dead end.
He wondered if she had decided she didn't need his help any more and immediately cursed at himself inside for thinking so childishly. He had a habit of wondering what others thought about him. It was probably one of his greatest flaws.
Whistling joyfully he came up towards a small bookshop which always had something that struck his interest and he decided to pick up a book to read for the afternoon.
He found a number of novels as he browsed the collection.
"Back again eh," one of the shop owners said. She was an elderly lady, thin greying hair and plump around the waist with a very kind smile. Shoichi didn't talk with people often but he had come to enjoy the small conversations she struck up when he visited.
"Yes," he said with the faintest of a grin across his expressionless face, "I finished the last two books you suggested they were very good".
"Oh well," she chuckled as she sifted through an old pile of books," I'm glad to here that. I got something the other day that I thought you might like," she said going to a small pile pushed aside on the not to buy counter. She pulled out a small maroon leather bound book and handed it to him.
"On the house," she said with a closed eyes smile, "it's a book about jutsu. Written by hand, I can't make heads of tails of it but maybe you could?".
"Thank you," he said with a small nod as he opened the book and skimmed the pages as the woman went to serve someone else.

Shinobi didn't regularly visit the bookstore. They were too busy with their missions and training. Instead normal citizens came. It was a regular place to read all kinds of books. It wasn't particularly crowded today, however. It was a quiet day. People came into the store, browsed around, and left. Some purchased their books. Some stayed in the store and read.
There was one peculiar shinobi in that store however. His spiky white hair made him stand out, but no one paid much attention to him. It was a little common to see him. Or rather not see him. He was entranced in one section of the book store that many others wouldn't go to - the adult section. He was hunched over the Icha Icha shelf. His favorite novel series. The Icha Icha novels were adult books created by the legendary sannin, Jiraiya. They were retellings of the sannin's love expierences. Kakashi was an avid reader of this series. He was last seen reading the first novel, Icha Icha Paradise. He was now looking for the other novel, Icha Icha Violence.
"Hmm... this is it... yes..."
He opens the novel and a glow comes out from the book. Kakashi's eye glows as he begins to read this amazing book but stops himself. The reading of this book must continue at home, in private. He loved the series but he was also emberassed about reading it to others... or reading in public. Even though, he has read Icha Icha Paradise in public... and battle before. His addiction for Icha Icha novels was quite interesting.
He stood up straight, book in hand. It was time to go and purchase this novel. He had nothing to fear purchasing this novel however. He was to known to have the hobby. He walked towards the counter. The woman at the counter just finished serving someone else, who Kakashi did not have the time to identify before being approached. The woman smiled at Kakashi, knowing that the jounin was embarrassed to talk about the novel and it was better to just simply scan the book and give it to him without saying anything.
After purchasing the book, Kakashi turned to walk out. As he walked, he read the book. It was good to get a nice start. He didn't always get a chance to read, especially with Naruto back in town. Life would pick up again and with the chase of the Akatsuki time for his personal life would be incredibly shortened. That was okay though. His obsession w--!
The book fell. Kakashi had accidently crashed into someone while reading his novel and not paying attention to where he was walking. Kakashi was usually a rather sharp person, but in this peaceful bookstore and while reading his favorite novel, his mind was in a world of it's own. Kakashi bent down and picked up the book. After making sure his book was safe and not dirtied, he looked at the person he crashed into. It was a young man at the age of 19 or 20 with white spiky hair, kind of like Kakashi. He noticed the young man. Kakashi knew everyone in the village and he remembered this young man. He was a new jounin that was working with the hokage to track down the Akatsuki. What was his name again?
"Muzan Shoichi. Are you okay?"

The more Shoichi flipped through the book the more entranced he became. It was full of hand written observations of chakra, elements and jutsu. From the few pages he read it detailed ways to control chakra usage better, it even told you how to learn a jutsu he had never heard of before.
He stood there wide eyed, like a kid in a candy store. Half the stuff he could not even understand it was so complicated but from what he gathered it was once someone's journal. It had been a while since something truly captivated him. He almost felt like he was back in the academy, learning brand new things every day.
It was somewhat of a hobby of his, trying to create new jutsu. His main combat style was Ninjutsu and he strived to create unique jutsu no one had ever seen before. It seemed like a childish dream sometimes but every great ninja he had ever heard of had their own sets of jutsu which defined them.
Shoichi sometimes felt like he hadn't done anything to define himself. He really hadn't, he was still young, hadn't yet gotten a genin team yet and was relatively untested in battle. He had gone on quite a number of missions and squared off with a few bandits and enemy ninja during his genin and chuunin years but he had yet faced anyone higher than a chuunin.
And sometimes it troubled him, he didn't think he deserved the rank he had.
But with this book he could possibly learn something more. He wanted to be the hokage one day and if someone beat him to it he was hell bent on giving them a run for their money.
He was just about to close the book when someone bumped into him.
While most people might have stumbled or fallen Shoichi didn't.
Half muscle memory half instinct he stepped back, using the momentum from the other person to spin, putting the book in his jacket he turned around, his hand at his thigh with two fingers hooked through a pair of Kunai.
He cursed under his breath when he realised what he had done. He retracted his hand and let his coat cover his Kunai again. Then he realised who was in front of him.
Kakashi Hatake.

Shoichi had heard of this man from the day he became a Genin. One of the most gifted ninja the leaf had ever produced, trained by the fourth, sensei to the nine tails and a sharingan user. Though Shoichi had never seen it himself he was fairly certain what he had heard was true. But then the strangest thing happened. He knew Shoichi's name.
He had passed Kakashi a few times, been at one or two group Jounin meetings but they had never exchanged names.
“Kakashi Senpai,” he said picking up a few books he had knocked on the floor.
"I'm fine," he said placing the books on the table next to him, his face as blank as ever, "ahhhh...sorry about that, I didn't see you there".

Interesting...
The young jounin had instantly reacted to Kakashi bumping into him. Sho turned, putting his book away in his coat, and grasping at his kunai, ready to attack... that is until he realized what he had done and returned to his normal standing position. The young man was skilled alright and definitely deserved his jounin title. Most people would not have that kind of reaction, especially in such peaceful times. He was trained well.
"Hello, Muzan-san. I'm sorry for bumping into you," Kakashi smiled with his eye. "I have not had the opportunity to talk to you. Maybe we should have a walk and a talk. It's always good to talk to the younger generation."
Kakashi had simple intentions, really. Just a small walk to find out more about the young man. Knowing more about one's comrades was always best, especially when you are teamed with them. Teamwork goes best when the teammates know each other well. Kakashi also wanted to test Muzan's strength. Will it be enough to stop the Akatsuki when the time comes? It was also good to get in practice himself. Battles are going to be picking up soon. Kakashi needed to be fully prepared for this.

Shoichi watched Kakashi closely. The man seemed to be scanning Shoichi with his uncovered eye, assessing him. It made a cold shiver run down his spine, this man was a powerful individual and he was summing Shoichi up in one look. It made him feel slightly uneasy. He touched the book underneath his coat to make sure it was there before Kakashi spoke again.
“It was my fault,” Shoichi said, “I shouldn't have been standing in the walkway”.
He looked over to the woman who served him, gave her a small nod before turning and going to walk out before Kakashi spoke again.
Shoichi couldn't believe what he was hearing, again he felt like he was a academy ninja. He never thought in a million years he'd have the legendary Kakashi want to walk with him, let alone talk. When he said younger generation is reminded Sho how young he actually was. Despite being the same rank as the man in front of him, he was still a child in the eyes of many.
And he often thought like one to. Just like now, he was giddy inside. But his expression was still blank.
“If you wish,” Sho said stepping to one side and motioning for Kakashi to go first. He respected Kakashi greatly. He had followed the man's progress and knew he was most likely the strongest ninja in the leaf village. He wanted to surpass Kakashi. He had been told the man before him was the next in line for Hokage and Shoichi could only dream of being as skilled as him.

Kakashi proceeded to walk with Shoichi following right beside him. Kakashi walked without saying much for a couple minutes. He had his Icha Icha novel out, reading it as he walked. What was going on in the skilled jounin's mind? Oh right. He was thinking about his novel. What a perverted man. After about five minutes of walking around Konoha, Kakashi put away his book. It was time to talk.
"So, Muzan-san. How's your life as a jounin? I'm sure it must be exciting to be working with the hokage against the Akatsuki."
He took a little break for the young man to answer. His real purpose was to be revealed a little later. Right now, a little ice breaking was needed. It was a nice beautiful day. Sunny. The breeze was gentle. Perfect day to spar. Kakashi skillfully lead Shoichi to the training ground and stopped, turning around to the young jounin.
"Muzan-san, I would like to have a spar with you."
Kakashi didn't wait for answer. He wasn't looking for a no. He went to the opening in the training field where Team 7 recently had the bell test not too long ago. The Akatsuki were going to act soon and he needed to be sure that everyone was ready, even himself. He touched his forehead protector over his left eye lightly. He might need to activate his sharingan in this battle, but that would have to wait a bit.
He got into a battle stance and waited for Shoichi. His normal way would be to pull out his novel, but he believed Shoichi to be strong. He couldn't fight him while trying to read. Muzan Shoichi needed his full attention.
"Don't be afraid now, Muzan-san. Also, don't hold back because I won't either.

Shoichi watched Kakashi with a sideways glance as they walked. He hadn't known what to expect but they had been walking for some time, in silence. Sho wasn't exactly sure what the older jounin was doing but he was cautious by nature. And curious at the same time.
Sho stopped for a second when Kakashi spoke. Not many people knew the nature of the missions he had been going on. But it made sense the man knew so he shook his head a little and caught up.
"It's fine," he said about being a Jounin, "The missions go slow as I'm sure you know. They are an elusive bunch and despite our best efforts not even Master Jiraiya seems to have had any luck".
He frowned slightly, Kakashi would already know all of this. He was obviously trying to make conversation, but to what end. Sho couldn't help but wonder the man's true intentions. He was a suspicious and curious person by nature and it was a flaw at the best of times.
Then it all became clear as they reached their destination. Kakashi, the legendary copy ninja was going to test him. Anxiety filled Sho. There was no way he could match up against someone like him.
He had been through more as a genin than Sho had his entire life.
He took a deep breath. This was the moment he had dreamt about in so long. He was finally going to test his strength and while it was not a real battle he was relieved when Kakashi told him not to hold back.
But Shoichi knew he was as he didn't reveal his eye. He thought about using his Kekkei Genkai but he wanted to wait to see what Kakashi would do.
He put together a number of hand seals with blinding speed.
"Fūton: Hanachiri Mai "
He said, a pair large cyclone of petals appeared either side of him. They then began to twist and move and shot towards Kakashi like a pair of snakes, trying to impale him.

"Hmm... A strong start."
Kakashi prepared himself as the two cyclones headed towards him. Shoichi's hand speed was also incredibly fast. But so was Kakashi's. In the two year period, he had increased his hand speed greatly. But he wouldn't need them right. Kakashi took a heavy stance and jumped into the air, spinning midair, and launching kunais down at Shoichi. He was counting on being impaled by the cyclones because the Kakashi turned out to be a simple shadow clone. The kunais that were thrown had explosive tags attached to them and would explode upon reaching Shoichi.
The real Kakashi was hidden in the forest around them. That was his way of fighting. No, that was the true shinobi way. A ninja hidden in the shadows waiting for their opponent to lower their guard and at that moment, the attack would be made. Kakashi traveled through the forest, setting up traps. Wires across the trees attached to shurikens. Upon the slightest trigger, the shurikens would launch at Shoichi.
In an astounding speed, Kakashi performed a few handseals as he waited. If Shoichi would throw another wind element jutsu at him, he would use the great fireball technique against it. Kakashi's jutsu prowess and the technique's element having a power advantage against wind would guarantee him the easy victory in the clash. After that, Kakashi would speed towards the water around the area and activate the hiding mist technique to hide in it.
However if that wasn't the case and Sho had other ideas to find him, Kakashi would trigger the shurikens to attack Sho. While Sho is distracted by them, Kakashi would use his impressive speed to dash towards Sho and commence a taijutsu performance that would keep the young jounin on his toes. Kakashi had everything planned.
Jutsu Used
Shadow Clone Technique:Similar to the Clone Technique, this technique creates clones of the user. However, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. They can also disperse on their own. The clones will be created in roughly the same condition as the original.

Shoichi frowned slightly as Kakashi jumped. It was not a move that would stop him from being hit and he knew it. That was when he knew something was off, he then threw kunai before being impaled and turning into a puff of smoke.
"Shadow clone".
Shoichi mumbled to himself, unsurprised. It was something he would have done himself. He wondered if the kakashi he had been walking with the entire time had been a shadow clone. If it was Kakashi had very good control over his chakra.
It had been flawless.
And that he had planned this little encounter from the start.
Shoichi flicked his hand casually, shooting shuriken from his wrist holster and watched as the kunai exploded on contact.
But then he stopped. He stood still and placed his hands in the pockets of his coat, watching the forest around him. Taking in his surroundings. Sho was at a disadvantage right now, he had no idea where Kakashi was or what he was doing. Or what exactly the man was capable of. He had much more battle experience than Sho and he would be the first to admit it.
And no way to find him without revealing to much.
After a few handseals he spewed out a sticky substance which spread out across the ground in a hundred meters every direction. He covered his feet in chakra and stood in the centre of the syrup.
He wasn't going to go fumbling through the tree's after the shinobi. That was suicide, so he just watched. As he did he activated one of his simple but most effective jutsu without moving.
The air temperature began to drop, slowly at first but then after a minute or two it cooled faster and faster until it was below zero. The air did not effect Shoichi, he thrived in the cold but for a normal person the cold would begin to hinder them after some time.
So he waited, waiting for the more experience jounin to make his move.
It might not be the smartest thing to do but he was not going to underestimate Kakashi.

A change of plans was needed.
Shoichi had decided not to rush into the forest or attack Kakashi in any way. Instead he stuck to his position and activated a jutsu. Some sort of substance was spewed out of his mouth. A strange technique and the young jounin used chakra to stand atop it. What could it be? Suddenly Kakashi felt a sudden change of temperature. It was getting extremely cold but it didn't bother Shoichi at all. This must be his technique. Quite ingenious.
Shoichi was waiting for Kakashi to make the move. With the flick of his wrist, he activated his traps sending shuriken towards the young jounin from all directions. Through this distraction, Kakashi took to the ground, away from the substance spewed and started a small series of hand seals.
Earth Release: Hidden Mole Technique
Kakashi took to the ground... underground. The earth around him was changed to fine sand, allowing him to move through it. A sneak attack was in order. The technique also allowed him to sense what was going on in the surface. Kakashi would proceed under Shoichi and use a different technique - Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique. In one swift motion, he would grab Sho's leg and pull him under the ground, while simultaneously pulling himself up. Shoichi's head would be above ground, and Kakashi himself would be up in the air.
The next few movements will happen quite quickly. Kakashi, while in the air, would form a rasengan with his right hand. With his left hand he would throw two kunais on either side of Sho. The kunais would be attached with exploding tags which would explode, cracking and breaking the ground, leaving an area without the substance. The explosion would also break the ground around Shoichi, probably damaging him. Once Shoichi comes out of the ground, Kakashi would launch himself at Sho and aim the rasengan at the young jounin's chest.
If Shoichi somehow finds a way to block this attack or dodge it, Kakashi would spin around and kick himself off of Sho or another piece of rock, going straight back into the ground using his Hiding mole technique. He needed to play it safe for now until he could accurately gauge Shoichi's abilities. The young jounin had the right idea in this battle.

Shoichi stood motionless, expressionless.
Watching, waiting.
His eyes scanned back and forth, never lingering on one spot to long. He remembered his sensei telling him if you focus on just one spot you'll miss the world move around you. You keep you're eyes moving at all times and you will see things others will not.
He saw a fish jump in the lake off to his far right, then a rabbit bound across the field, a bird fluttering through the tree branches, field mice scurrying around, an eagle hovering overhead.
He took note of everything, every little detail around him.
But there was no sign of Kakashi.
Until the shuriken came shooting out of the tree's all around him. He did five handseals in a split second and muttered.
"Suiten Hōfutsu"
Droplets of water began to shoot out of the ground, each knocking one of the shuriken off course. It was to simple, the attack was easily deflected. Most likely used as a diversion. Shoichi's mind raced, trying to figure out Kakashi's game plan.
Then he felt a hand wrap around his ankle and pull him into the ground until only his head was visible.
"Tsk," Shoichi clicked his tongue, more frustrated than worried. He released the syrup capture field as the water began to eat away at the earth around him. Just as he started to make his way out, two Kunai hit the ground either side of him.
The ground began break around him, the dust clearing to reveal Shoichi surrounded by a fluctuating sphere of water which protected him from the explosions. He rolled his shoulder which had caught some of the explosion, he still had not mastered the jutsu and decided after this he would spend some time doing so.
After releasing the water he stood on a piece of stone which was starting to fall after being thrown up from the explosion.
He looked up to see Kakashi falling towards him with a sphere of churning chakra in his hand Shoichi guessed was the Rasengan he had heard so much about.
Shoichi raised one of his arms and pointed it at Kakashi as the man fell. For a moment he hesitated. But he remembered Kakashi telling him not to hold back. If that rasengan hit Sho it would cause a great deal of damage. Kakashi obviously meant it when he said. Shoichi's face went form being slightly concerned to a small smile.
He wasn't going to hold back. The older Jounin wanted to know what he was capable of, so Sho decided to give him just that.
"Aisuken" he said as his arm pointed at Kakashi with all his fingers extended. In the blink of an eye a blade of ice shot out from his hand with tremendous speed, intending to impale Kakashi. It helped that Kakashi was moving towards him.
While that happened spheres of water began to forma round Kakashi and bombard him with devastating force.

Not only had Shoichi deflected the shurikens easily, he had escaped from the ground and blocked off the explosions. His speed with ninjutsu was incredible to say the least. His speed with handseals were also great, and now he wished to match Kakashi in a straight on clash of ninjutsu. The rasengan against the young jounin's ice blade. Not only that, but spheres of water were sent at Kakashi with devastasting force. The young jounin was serious.
Dodging in midair was next to impossible, especially with Kakashi already launching himself at Shoichi, rasengan first. Kakashi decided to keep on going with the attack. The two ninjutsu clashed with each other. The obvious winner would be the rasengan, a strong A rank technique in the hands of a skilled jounin. The rasengan grinded through the ice blade but before it could hit Shoichi, Kakashi released the chakra. The spin from the released rasengan propelled Kakashi a bit, allowing him to spin in mid air, dodging the water spheres headed his way, and then... disappear. Kakashi's impressive speed landed him behind Shoichi in a split second, in a crouching position. His hands came together to form the tiger seal and he inserted it into Shoichi's anus.
"One Thousand Years of Death!"
Kakashi also released chakra from his fingers and launched the young jounin across the field. If Shoichi dodged the attack or not did not matter much to Kakashi, because in either sitiuation Kakashi would flip back, get in an all four position and throw three shurikens at Shoichi and then flip back again, gaining considerable distance. His hand would be placed on his forehead protector.
"You're good, Muzan-san. I must give you that. Shall we make this a little more tough though?"
It was time. Kakashi slowly lifted up his forehead protector to reveal his closed left eye that had a thin scar over it. He opened his eye to reveal an eye different to his other one. A red eye with three tomoe. The sharingan! Kakashi didn't give the young jounin a chance to react, however. He jumped to the air and landed in the water source nearby. A fast paced of a long string of handseals later and the water around him started to move violently. The water rose up into the air in the form of a water dragon and thrust itself at Shoichi.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"

The ideal place to use it is near a body of water, but if the user's skill allows it, it is possible to use it even in a place where there is none. Shoichi smiled a little, unable to mask his excitment. Kakashi was the most powerful advesary he had ever fought and while their battle was not an actual battle both ninja were determined not to lose against the other.
As Kakashi tore through his ice blade he wondered how long it would be until other ninja showed up due to the high level jutsu they were using. The training grounds didn't often turn into a full on clash between two jounin and he knew they'd have spectators sooner or later.
He watched as the rasengan tore through his jutsu and made a mental note to ask if kakashi would teach it to him. As he released the rasengan Sho's face went from slightly smiling to blank.
He was up to something.
After dodging the spheres he disappeared and Sho knew the second he was gone that the older Jounin was behind him. As Kakashi attacked Sho launched into a back flip, arching over Kakashi as he launched his strange looking attack.
When Sho hit the ground however Kakashi was again behind him, putting space between them. He obviously didn't feel like getting into a taijutsu battle.
Using his momentum Sho spun, taking two Kunai out of their thigh holsters he blocked two of the shuriken and slanted to one side as the other flew past his head, cutting of some hair.
Sho spun his Kunai on his fingers before putting them back in their holsters.
Finally
Sho thought to himself as Kakashi lifted his headband to reveal his three tomoe sharingan. The legendary doujutsu of the Uchiha clan.
So the rumours were true.
Sho's eyes narrowed slightly, his face expressionless. Then with impressive speed Kakashi ended up on a the lake and Sho saw from his hand signs he was planning the water dragon jutsu.
"You just made you're first mistake Kakashi of the sharingan," Sho shouted loud enough so the man could hear him.
Shoicho then ran at the water dragon, covering the ground between him and the jutsu within a matter of seconds. Just before it struck him however he created an ice pillar underneath him which lifted high into the air. The water dragon crashed into the pillar, the water had no chance against the chakra infused ice. The pillar was as hard as steel.
Shoichi stood aloft the pillar and willed the water around Kakashi to come up and drag him into into the depths. The water began to latch onto his arms and feet, like tentacles of an octopus trying to pull him under.
Sho silently cursed under his breath about not yet mastering the jutsu. He could have made water drills and impaled the man where he stood but didn't know if he had enough control over the water from this distance and he did not want to waste the chakra trying.
So he stood, watching as the water that had moments been his ally betrayed Kakashi.

Shoichi had dodged his attacks one by one and wasn't shocked with the revealing of Kakashi's sharingan. The water dragon also didn't phase the young man as he shouted that Kakashi had just made his first mistake. The attack had gone just as Kakashi wanted it to go. Shoichi had unleashed his kekkai genkai and took down the water dragon. He now rested upon his ice pillar that he created while he willed the water to submerge Kakashi. Or who was supposed to be Kakashi. In the split second before creating the water dragon, Kakashi had created a water clone and replaced himself with it. Right now the real Kakashi was hidden.
As the water tormented 'Kakashi', it looked surprisingly real until it was completely submerged in which it turned back to water. Sho could hear a certain sound coming from behind him... no above him.
"Raikiri!"
There was Kakashi, a lightning blade in hand, but his aim wasn't at Sho. Kakashi thrust down with his lightning blade, striking the ice pillar directly and tearing it down. The impact from the falling ice and Kakashi would stir the water, plus the water clone from before would have released it's chakra stirring up the water even more and launching it towards Sho. And although, Sho would be able to manipulate the water or freeze it, the Kakashi that had the raikiri was already dissolving... into electricity! It was a lightning release clone that attacked the ice and the lightning it dissolved into conducted through the water and if it hit Sho, it would electrocute him a bit and paralyze him. To Shoichi's knowledge or not, the raiton Kakashi was also carrying a small vile of blood of Kakashi that he dropped on Sho, marking him.
Kakashi wasn't done yet. No matter the outcome, Kakashi was ready. He was standing away from the water source and Sho. Performing quick hand seals, he took out a scroll and smeared his blood across it. He closed the scroll, and placed it on the ground. Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique! Ninken would travel through the ground - underground. They would erupt from underneath Sho suddenly, and plunge their fangs into him, holding him in his place.
While that happened, Kakashi didn't waste a moment and was performing another set of seals. Chakra formed around him and the unique sound was back. Raikiri. The full thing this time, no clones, the only original technique of the shinobi Hatake Kakashi. The ultimate assassination move... and he was going to use it on Sho. He dashed. He was moving at an incredible speed, the lightning leaving a trail behind him. He closed upon the young jounin trapped against his will. However before he could strike, Kakashi jumped over Sho and slammed his lightning blade on the ground, cracking and breaking it. He would get up and sigh a breath of relief, as he dispelled his ninken on Sho and covered up his eye.
"I think we are done for today, Muzan-san. That was an excellent battle you put up. You had me really working there."
Kakshi smiled at the young jounin and lightly patted him on the back.

Shoichi had been sure he'd caught out the older Jounin. Through what he'd call luck he'd gotten his opening and struck. Then to his dismay he heard a crackling sound from behind him.
He spun around and realised Kakashi was going for the ice pillar. He jumped before he hit the pillar, knowing full well water is conductive. The water underneath him then shot up, lurching towards him from the force of the falling pillar.
Sho went to freeze the water and land before seeing what Kakashi was doing. He broke off a piece of water from the large surge before he electrified it and let it carry him to dry land.
However the moment he landed dogs jumped out of the ground. He hit one away and slashed one causing it to turn into a puff of white smoke before they were all over him.
He considered using one of his higher ranking jutsu but decided against it. Despite them going all out there was no point in using jutsu that would leave him unable to move on his own.
Then Kakashi at him with the Lighting cutter flaring it all it's glory. Sho knew he was beat, Kakashi just had to much experience for the young Jounin to beat him in a one on one spar.
Despite himself he managed to kick off one of the dogs then slammed his foot on the ground and shouted.
"Tenka- kakuheki"
A thick wall of snow shot up in front of him. The lightning cutter would be able to break through he was sure but it would lose it's speed and Kakashi might not be able to follow all the way through the snow.
But Kakashi just leapt over it and slammed the cutter down on the ground behind him before releasing the dogs. Sho rolled his shoulders and let the snow dissolve and melt before releasing the jutsu that was making the air cold.
Kakashi had beat him.
But that did not discourage Sho. He had just gone toe to toe with the strongest ninja in the leaf village and despite his loss he felt like he'd held his own fairly well.
"You're as good as they say," Shoichi said brushing himself off.
"I guess I've still got more to learn," he said. Kakashi had completely out manoeuvred him. While they had matched Jutsu almost blow for blow Kakashi had outsmarted him and Sho knew it.
His inexperience battling high ranked ninja was possibly a lethal disadvantage he needed to rectify.
