i'm waiting for some kind of miracle [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto] Karei was nervous, to say the least. He wasn't worried about a surprise attack or anything of the sort. In fact, he was certain that he would be able to counter any attack that was made toward him. The reason he was shaken up was from anticipation and lack of experience in one jutsu, but if he didn't try it on a human target, how would he be certain that it would work?
The scroll he had found on the deceased shinobi that had fallen on the outskirts of Amegakure had an interesting scroll on him that intrigued Karei to the point of actually studying the forbidden jutsu scrawled on the inside. He trained with the hand signs for quite a while to memorize them before finding a test subject: a frog that someone had crushed. While it seemed like an insignificant patient, Karei was still unsure of the power of this new jutsu. He was completely entranced after performing the jutsu and seeing the every wound on the frog patch itself together, and within seconds, it returned to life and began hopping about like nothing had gone wrong. He felt slightly drained, but that was to be expected. He continued doing this for quite some time, and after almost a year, he had restored live to animals as small as a lark to as large as a deer. He dreaded performing the jutsu on an actual human in fear that he would lose his own life in the process, but it needed to be done, and who better to attempt it on than a man who was once the last member of his clan?
Karei finally stepped from the woods and into a field to see the aftermath of a heated battle. Large, now slightly yellowed bones protruded from the ground in random spikes. It didn't take long for Karei's crimson gaze to land on his target that had become the sole inhabitant of this grave: Kaguya Kimimaro. He swallowed back his nerves before fully entering the area and traveling toward the corpse suspended in its final attack maneuver.
With a deep breath in, he closed his eyes to gather a massive amount of chakra. This was the moment of truth. He wove the necessary signs and felt the chakra forming appropriately and, with a quick hand he placed both palms over the eyes of the Kaguya. "Amegakure Human Reincarnation Technique." It had been weightless. Suspended in a air of uncertainty. The Kaguya had once known what it meant to give everything for one simple dream. The dream that wanted to fulfill another dream. The male had never once really had a dream of his own, since he had never really had a chance to inspire to such a thing. Instead, he had taken on the dream of another. The dream that he wanted to make a reality, even if it cost him his life trying. In the end, the worst possible situation had happened. However, at the feeling of death, the Kaguya hadn't really known what death itself was.
It was weightless and pain only surrounded you for a moment before something else happened. The vision of death was always something cruel, but really was it? A few moments passed as the Kaguya felt something odd, wait, the sense of feeling, he couldn't remember when it had been last that he had felt anything. In a sudden flash, to what it felt like to him, air burst through his lungs once more and he felt a feeling of nostalgia. Pain surged through him, something he thought would be forgotten. Now it pumped through him like the blood that once more circulated through his veins.
After a few moments of agonizing seconds of breathing the Kaguya started to come to himself. He felt a pressure of sorts, that could only be the touch of another. Since, there was no chakra that surged through his weakened body at the moment, the castle of bones that had once made the graveyard seemed to fade away as also his body reverted from the state he had been in at his death returning to that of a normal Kimimaro. However, despite the years that had passed, his body, had matured while his mind had not.
The boy felt himself falling and his mind slightly wondered if he would also feel the pain of the ground if he struck it from the height he had been at before. But, it was a simple fact that his mind was starting to wrap around. If he was alive again, then.. who had brought him back? Had it been his sama? Or.. who? Either way, he wondered.. why someone would want him.. when he had failed before.
(occ: so.. he did revert back to his normal form. The falling is obviously the bones letting him go, since he was high in the air. So he's falling now. )

i'm waiting for some kind of miracle [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto] The chakra moved rapidly, so much so that Karei felt nearly instantly drained. He never expected it to take this much out of him, though he supposed he should have given the jutsu more credit since it did take more chakra to revive larger animals. He gave a light scoff of annoyance that he hadn't realized it before. Thankfully, he had prepared for this moment. In his bag were a rather large amount of various candies infused with his chakra that he had made earlier; however, since he wasn't sure whether or not his target had been completely revived yet or not, he pushed a tad more into him until Karei was on his brink, then he pulled away to see Kimimaro's sea green eyes flicker open for a brief moment before he felt his feet give way.
He felt a rush of air as he fell, and his fingers flipped open the bag on his hip to fiddle through it and pluck out a hard candy. After he hit the ground and gagged on some blood caught in the back of his throat from the impact, he swallowed back the pain and weakly placed the candy in his mouth.
The world around him was swirling, and his ears rang loudly as if he was going to pass out. Well, he thought, the jutsu can bring someone back. At least I know that much. But he couldn't fall asleep. Being a shinobi from Amegakure, he had seen too many people injured that wanted to "just take a nap," and they never opened their eyes again. Thankfully, the candy was enough to start bringing him back. After the chakra began returning to his body, he closed his eyes to keep himself oriented and slowly rolled to his side to push himself up. Once he was able to finally sit, he scrounged up two more candies and popped them carefully into his mouth. As they melted, he could feel his strength being restored and the wound in the back of his throat closing. Once his vision began to clear, he was able to glance about and found that the Kaguya had not landed far from him.
Karei made an attempt to stand, but the candies didn't have too much chakra implanted into them because of their small size, and three wasn't enough to get him to walk quite yet. He still needed to rest, but first, he had to make sure that his target was taken care of. He slowly got back on the ground and carefully crawled his way over to the other and sat near him, then pulled out five candies and showed them to him. "If you can see these," Karei muttered weakly, "they will help, Kaguya Kimimaro." He rolled the man's head toward him to be sure the candies wouldn't choke him before placing them in his mouth. It was only a matter of time now before he got enough strength to talk himself.
In the meantime, Karei had to remember everything that he saw on his way here. Anything could be made into food, and that infused with his chakra was exactly what they needed. He didn't have many candies left, and he wanted to leave a few just in case they were desperately needed. He would have to wait until he got back home to make more of those, but sitting still and being calm was another way to generate chakra. He took a deep breath and laid back down to do just this.
What all was on this path to the Kaguya? Mushrooms, berries, amaranth, dandelions... there were even clovers near them. If he could find something to boil them in, it wouldn't be too difficult to pull some moisture from the air to cook with, and his electricity could be used to ignite wood for fire.
