Starting from the top, Kakashi has head full of spiky white hair, a leaf forehead protector covering his left eye which holds his implanted sharingan. Over his left eye lies a thin scar from the cut he received in the past. He also wears a black mask on the lower half of his face for some unknown reason. Moving down to his body, Kakashi wears the normal jonin outfit. It's complete with the black pants, black shirt and a green vest over it. He also wears iron plated gloves from his ANBU days. In his pouch, he not only holds small weapons but also his Icha Icha novel. He completes his attire with his black sandals and the kunai holder on this thigh. Generally, Kakashi has a lazy expression, aloof manner, relaxed voice, and minimalist attitude. However, when serious in combat, he has a stern and intense look. He resembles his father, Sakumo Hatake, greatly and older characters don't fail to mention this. Personality: In the past, Kakashi had a serious attitude and followed the Ninja book to the last letter. He did not have much care for his teammates and instead focused solely on completing the mission. This attitude was due to his father's death - a suicide committed because Sakumo Hatake was unable to complete his mission, instead saving his teammates. However, in his first year as a jonin, through his best friend Obito Uchiha's death, his personality changed drastically. Now Kakashi focuses on teamwork and the importance of protecting your comrades. He believes that teamwork is essential to the success of the team and the mission. "In the ninja world, those who break the rules are trash, that's true, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash," quoted by Kakashi. Kakashi is also carefree and emotionless, often bluntly talking about sensitive topics. Except his Icha Icha novels, which he is too embarrassed about the adult content to read it to anyone. Kakashi is well known all over the world and has connections with everyone in Konoha. However, he takes special interests in his students, observing their training and growth and taking care of their health. Kakashi has a rather solitary and matter-of-fact attitude. His calm and detached demeanor has been called “cool, hip, and trendy” many times by Might Guy. Despite his increasingly growing reputation and prowess as a ninja, Kakashi has shown no signs of arrogance, and is rather modest about his abilities, as shown when he readily praises others for leaps in their combat abilities. His naturally calm attitude is used to his advantage in battle, as it becomes easier for him to maintain his composure to stay focused on the situation at hand, and ultimately notice everything around him. As a result, he can quickly adjust to any situation to make keen and thought-out decisions, allowing him to stay steps ahead of his opponents. Kakashi also has a rivalry with Might Guy, however he doesn't care for it as much as Guy does. Kakashi is also fond of the Icha Icha series created by the legendary Sanin, Jiraiya. Maybe he's perverted ^.^ History: Kakashi Hatake is the son of famous Sakumo Hatake - the "White Fang of Konoha". His mother died when he was young. Even at a young age, he's been known as a gifted prodigy. He scored the top marks on his tests at the academy and graduated at the age of 5, and then becoming a chunin the next year. His father although fell into depression and later committed suicide for his failure of a mission because he protected his teammates. This caused the young Kakashi to change his attitude and become a "stickler for the rules" kind of guy. Kakashi was in a team with Rin, a medic, and Obito Uchiha, holder of the sharingan. They were lead by Minato Namikaze, the future Yondaime Hokage. At the age of 13, soon after becoming a jonin, the team was given an important mission to aid Konoha in the Third Shinobi World war, and Kakashi would lead. During the mission, Rin was kidnapped but Kakashi refused to go back for her, refusing to make the same mistake his father did. Obito however disagreed and went off by himself to save her. However, Obito didn't leave without saying that he though Kakashi's father, the White Fang, was a true hero. These words resonated in Kakashi's mind and he realized that his father was correct to save his comrades. This sudden change caused Kakashi to go after Rin as well. Kakashi, upon arrival, saved Obito but was cut on his left eye, giving him the permanent scar he has now. In this life and death moment, Obito awakened his sharingan and saw through the enemies' camouflage technique, effectively taking them down and rescuing Rin. The kidnapper used his jutsu to cause a cave in and Kakashi was hit in the blind side by a rock, falling down. A boulder was about to crush the young jonin until Obito pushed him out of the way. However, Obito's right side was crushed. Obito instructed Rin to implant his sharingan into Kakashi's left eye. With the sharingan, Chidori was complete and Kakashi used the technique to kill the kidnapper. With Minato's help, they escaped but lost Obito Uchiha, the boy who changed Kakashi Hatake's life forever. In the later years, he became well known among the five great shinobi nations because of his sharinagn, earning him the reputation as the man who "copied over a thousand techniques", the Copy Ninja Kakashi. He also joined the ANBU Black-Ops later but left for unknown reasons. Later he became a sensei for genin, but never passed any for their lack of teamwork. That is, until Team 7 came along: Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno.
