What a bothersome part of nature. While Kakuzu was never one to complain, it was a mixture of both the weather and the presence of Hidan that had been irritating him lately. Him and that ridiculous religion of his, what an absurd belief. None could deny that it actually worked, in fact, even impressed Kakuzu at some point. Now it had just become an annoyance, an inevitable truth that he could not kill him. Yet, they were such a deadly duo, it would have been stupid not to pair them. Kakuzu could acknowledge this, but it was unfortunate Hidan was so... eager to rush in. Eventually, something smarter than his religious rituals would kill him. Here Kakuzu was however, having just finished a recent bounty and earned quite a tidy sum in the process of doing it. As fate would have it, he planned to return to Amegakure and give Pein an update on how he and his partner were doing, if he was there, that was. It was usually a process each partnership had done at the same time in order to be well informed. Hell, he didn't have a goddamn clue where that Hidan had gotten off to. Kakuzu's general rule of thumb was that if Hidan wasn't around, he was dead or he got lost. Either way worked for him. One can not just walk into Amegakure. News wasn't exactly out that Akatsuki operated from there and anyone within their own right could have merely went out and said something. Too many wandering eyes lurked around these parts, for the wrong reasons. The stature of Kakuzu was one hard enough to be considered that of a stealthy ninja but he had many ploys and ways from keeping himself from attracting too much attention. Light on his feet as ever, he hopped across the walls of Amegakure, into a nearby alley. A soft splash upon a puddle was significant to Kakuzu's arrival, however, there was none there to hear it. A soft walk treaded out of the alley and onto the many slender roof tops and buildings which had inhabited the village. It was so oddly shaped and structured, something Kakuzu would never really be able to get used to. A sigh escaped, muffled between his mask. A short walk and he had managed to navigate his way across to the main tower, where Pein usually resided. The highest point... he truly did believe he was a god of some sort. One thing was for sure, Akatsuki certainly housed a lot of religious fanaticism. Not that Kakuzu would ever disrespect Pein, but he was never a believer in that sort of stuff. Upon reaching the tower, the only way was up into the main meeting room where they usually assembled. His feet stuck to the dripping metal easily enough and Kakuzu took only a minute or so to reach where he needed to be. Entering out of the rain, he stood for a moment, his towering figure creating a long shadow into the darkness which resided in the tower room. His eyes took a moment to look around, before he simply stood, silently. Surely more of them had to have been here... [/style] |
