- Doton: Dochū Senkō; 土遁・土中潜航
(Earth Release: Subterranean Voyage) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Earth | Rank: C-rank Class: Offensive, Supplementary | Range: Short to Mid range
This technique changes the earth around the user into a representative of a liquid -- it allows them to swim underground as a way to get closer to the opponent quickly. Under the earth is a blind spot, the enemy has little-to-no idea that they're about to be attacked. It's like a surprise attack. When you use the technique along with a weapon it can be considered an assault ninjutsu. Kisame uses it along with Samehada which makes it look like a shark's dorsal fin is sticking out of the ground.
- Kuchiyose no Jutsu 口寄せの術
(Summoning Technique) (Sharks) Classification: Ninjutsu, Space–Time Ninjutsu | Rank: C-rank Class: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Kuchiyose no Jutsu allows the user to summon animals or creatures from long distances. It requires a contract with the species of animal to summon them. The contract comes in the form of a scroll and requires the summoner to sign with their blood. Afterwards, to summon their species, the user must give blood from their hand and mold their chakra. The amount of chakra used will decide how powerful the summoned one will be.
- Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu 水分身の術
(Water Clone Technique) Classification: Ninjutsu, Clone Techniques | Element: Water | Rank: C-rank Class: Supplementary
It's another form of the Shadow Clone Technique except the clones are made of water and only have one-tenth of the original user's power. The clones can be used to do things the user tells them to do. The range is limited though and it cannot travel too far from the original body. When injured enough it will turn back to water.
- Suirō Sameodori no Jutsu 水牢鮫踊りの術
(Water Prison Shark Dance Technique) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water Class: Supplementary | Range: All ranges
After preforming Suiton: Bakusui Shōha and becoming one with his sword Samehada, Kisame becomes the center of a giant dome of water with this technique. Once it has been activated, the dome follows with him wherever he swims keeping him at the center. This makes it hard for anyone trapped to manage to escape. Because he is fused with Samehada, he can breathe underwater. The technique is very effective but there are ways to escape it. With two or more opponents swimming in different directions, for example, it could become complicated to keep them both within range.
- Suirō no Jutsu 水牢の術
(Water Prison Technique) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water Release | Rank: C-rank Class: Supplementary | Range: Short-range
This technique traps targets in a ball of water. It's nearly impossible to escape. However it's not completely "invincible". The user has to keep at least one arm inside of the ball of water for it to remain intact and keep the target inside. It requires a decent amount of water, whether from a body of water or from a technique. Another fact to note is that despite that it's made of water, it's harder than steel. The trapped person isn't able to move inside because the water is heavy. If used the right way it can even be used as a defensive technique.
- Suiton: Senjikizame 水遁・千食鮫
(Water Release: A Thousand Feeding Sharks) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water Class: Offensive | Range: Short to Mid range
This is a more powerful version of Suiton: Goshokuzame (so see that technique for more details) except that the user creates one thousand sharks made of water which compose a wall-like formation which rain down upon the target and attack.
- Suiton: Bakusui Shōha 水遁・爆水衝波
(Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water | Rank: B-rank Class: Offensive, Supplementary | Range: All ranges
The user expels lots of water from their mouths. The water crashes down like a giant wave. The user can ride this wave at high speeds and attack their enemies. This technique is good for preventing counter-attacks. The more chakra the larger the amount of water created. The water can also be used for other water techniques.
- Suiton: Goshokuzame 水遁・五食鮫
(Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water | Rank: B-rank Class: Offensive | Range: All ranges
Placing their hand upon a surface of water, the user releases chakra from their fingers. This changes the water into the shape of five sharks. These sharks then circle the target at high speeds which creates something similar to a whirlpool which restricts the targets' movement and allows the shark to tear into them with their teeth. The sharks can regenerate from the water.
- Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha 水遁・大爆水衝波
(Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water Class: Offensive, Supplementary | Range: Long-range
This is a stronger version of Suiton: Bakusui Shōha. When the user uses it they spit out a large amount of water which will cover an entire area with waves that are unavoidable. From here the water changes into a giant orb, making it different from the original.
- Suiton: Daikōdan no Jutsu 水遁・大鮫弾の術
(Water Release: Great Shark Bullet Technique) Classification: Ninjutsu, Chakra Absorption Technique | Element: Water Class: Offensive
This technique is a stronger version Suiton: Suikōdan no Jutsu. The user creates a large shark out of the water and sends it to attack the target by thrusting their hands outward. What makes this different from the previous version is that it can absorb chakra from the targets' technique and can uses it to grow stronger and bigger.
- Suiton: Suikōdan no Jutsu 水遁・水鮫弾の術
(Water Release: Water Shark Bullet Technique) Classification: Ninjutsu | Element: Water Release | Rank: B-rank Class: Offensive | Range: Short to Mid range
Using this technique, the user creates a large shark by shaping the water with their chakra. They thrust their hands outwards which will send it towards the intended target. The shark will move at rather fast speeds and create a strong impact. To increase their swimming speed the user can also ride within the shark.
