Hello there, and welcome to Rise of the Akatsuki! We are immensely pleased that you have decided to join this site, and we also would love to make navigating the site just a little easier for you, so here is a guide on how to get started. Some basic information will be given as well as a link to the full explanation so you can read more into it. But, for now, let's get started!
~ ♥ ~ 1. Firstly, you're going to want to read the rules. They are followed strictly here on Rise of the Akatsuki, and all members are subjected to adhere to them.
2. Next, the plot should be read. This gives an overview of where the site is heading, and there are many member-driven plots that will end up here as well and may impact the overall story line. This is a good thing to keep up with!
3. Then, canons and face claims are good to look at. They show which canons are needed and reserved, and face claims show which characters are being used and reserved for original characters. To see exactly who is which character (which will be good for plotting with your own), check out the who plays whom thread. It is divided by village, and the characters are in alphabetical order by their surname (or, if no surname, given name).
4. If you're not familiar with all of the villages in the Narutoverse, a good place to visit would be the village description thread. It gives as much information as we have been exposed to canonly, and it may be updated if anything happens there that a member-driven plot affects.
5. Now that you know which character you want to make and where to put them, check out the jutsu thread! It tells which elements are currently allowed on the site. Please don't dispute with the staff if the element you want isn't allowed, though; we have put thought into this, and these are what we found are best for this board at the moment.
6. Sweet! So here comes the fun part: creating your character. The application template, jutsu template, and weapon template are what you need for this. There is a corresponding board for each of these in Character Creation as well as an original clan information board. Use that if you want your original clan to be open to the public.
7. Whew, that was a lot of work! Now that you've poured your heart and soul into your character, make sure that the staff know about it! Post in the notification thread so they can be looked over by a staff member. It may take us some time to get to you, but be patient. We have a lot of duties to do here on RotA, and we'll get to you as soon as possible. ♥
8. Once your character is accepted, feel free to post anywhere in the roleplaying section and start your adventure! If you have any questions, simply message a staff member, and we'll get to you right away~
