The Kande clan, though not often heard of, was originated within the very center of Kirigakure a long time ago. Before people knew of the term ninja's and things were peaceful. A kekkei genkai came out of the shadows. Originally it was just the ability to catch onto the presence and feelings of animals. And the ability to adapt to surroundings.

At this time no one really knew that a genkai was developing. Mostly because the clan themselves, preferred being away from the rest of Kirigakure, living in a isolated place within the natural elements. Many thought of the clan a myth every now and again. Or at least, until danger came upon the village and the clan would spring into action to help save the place from harm. Despite their rather, odd, rumors the clan was based off of more weaponry than anything.

As the world developed however, so did the clan's kekkei genkai. Finally being called such, some of the clan's family, began developing other techniques. Their bodies being able to shift. At first those with such a technique were shunned from the rest of the clan and left to their own devices. However, the more they started to appear the more the clan began to respect them. They became the first leaders of the clan and others behind them in a glorious reign.

However, the ninja world developed bringing about them the ways of the ninja. When Kirigakure learned of the Kande's clan hidden kekkei genkai, action was taken. The clan was to mysterious, to powerful to be kept alive. The clan was attacked by the village that they had tried so hard to protect. First, the forest and surrounding nature was burned to the ground as the village didn't know where they were. The fire, however, would just so happen to find them.

When the clan started to emerge they were killed on sight. Only those that were still stuck in the fire were slated for survival. Most however, were not used to such unclean air. So many died simply from the fumes that the fire engulfed. Only a few made it out alive, fleeing deeper into the forest. The deed and damage was done to the clan, assumed to all be dead.

The few survivors, around ten or twenty, fled into the wilderness. They didn't understand why such had happened, but they had no time to think about it. Just to get away. Only a select few still had the genkai, though all of them still had the clans special features that would help them survive hidden away.

CLAN ABILITIES:

Due to the association of the clan to the elements of nature the clan has developed several abilities. The first ability, is the understanding of wild creatures, as well as domestic ones. Though they can't speak with the animals, they have a natural intunement with them and the ability to understand their feelings. Along with this trait, clan members have the ability to adapt to their natural environments.

Forests: Hearing will excel and ability to predict a path through crowded forests will grow. (allows members to avoid tree limbs and roots and overall move faster than normal in a forest, as well as an ability to hide efficiently)

Water: Will be able to predict weather patterns. Though not completely 100% accurate, it will give an edge. Being able to predict storms and navigate according to stars.

Caves/Dark Places: Eyesight will increase. Higher than a normal humans, but gives the member a sense of direction. Almost like using sonar. Predicting were walls and obstacles are.

CLAN GENKAI:

Kokoro Henkan

The kekkei genkai developed by the Kanade clan. The genkai allows the user to shift parts of their body to represent an animal that they have bonded with. Though it only affects one part of the body, it gives the uses an ability/and or strength of the animal that was bonded with. For a new user of the genkai, you will only have one animal that you have bonded with. For more potential users of the jutsu, they will have up to five.

In order to embrace the gift of changing the body to represent the animal that was bonded with, the clan member must spend time with the creature. Unlike other jutsu where a contract is formed, the genkai, and the clans natural abilities to understand the feelings of animals allows them to learn from them. After spending a length of time, normally a week, sometimes longer for those who aren't used to the genkai, they will normally obtain a ability associated with the animal.

Each ability, however has its own strengths and weakness' associated with the person and animals that they have bonded with. A fully developed user, can use both their shifting powers and normal clan abilities to their fullest potential for a rather deadly attack and defense strategy.
